What To Expect At The AltoVita Smart, Safe, Sustainable Summit

Join us in London on July 9 for AltoVita’s flagship annual event: the Smart, Safe, Sustainable Summit.

Now entering its fourth year, we’ve curated an agenda to inspire, educate and challenge delegates. A broad mix of speakers and topics, combined with a new format, will make this summit one of the most memorable to date.

Under three key themes, Connectivity, Compliance and Market Intelligence, this full-day event is designed to equip business travel and talent mobility managers with the knowledge they need to tackle the rest of the year and beyond, and give them the chance to build relationships with experts across the board.

The Questions We’ll Be Asking

At the summit we will peel back the layers of the process of both sourcing and booking corporate accommodation.

  • How can under-pressure mobility and travel managers find solutions to reduce costs, and improve the employee experience, at a time when business travel is becoming more expensive and more complicated?
  • How can leaders leverage new technology, and keep up to date with the latest trends, to drive value in their organisations?
  • How do we manage a crisis? Emergency relocations are unfortunately more frequently requested by multi-national businesses today. Being able to provide safe accommodation, and swiftly, plays a critical role in dealing with crises, but how do organisations ensure they're prepared?
  • With more group bookings being requested, how can a travel or mobility manager keep up to date with the complexities of mass moves? From intern programmes to large-scale project work, particularly in the engineering and construction sectors, how are processes evolving to manage group moves, with different personas, and again keep them under budget?
  • What are the latest developments in diversity, equity, and inclusion when it comes to lodging? How are business navigating the needs of diverse workforces. With which departments does responsibility, or even liability,  sit for ensuring a truly accessibility travel or mobility programme? How too can businesses ensure their stays are as environmentally sound as possible?

How Will We Answer These Questions?

We’re grateful to the many expert speakers who will join us on stage to share their experiences, and the challenges (as well as opportunities) they see around content, distribution, procurement and much more.

The first panel — “Uniting Business Travel and Mobility V2.0” — sets the tone for the day ahead. Hear how Al-Futtaim Group’s Souhilla Taarabit and Solvay’s Diogo Matos are thinking beyond combining spending power, and looking to pioneer new approaches that place the employee experience at the heart of everything they do.

And building on the considerable exploration undertaken by AltoVita over the course of last year, via a whitepaper with Festive Road, and a virtual event that dived even deeper, speakers will also look at the technology and connectivity side of developing holistic programmes that cater to the rise in demand for more purposeful travel through extended stays and blended trips. Don't miss "The Great Consolidation" panel with leaders from corporate travel agency ATPI and talent recruiter NES Fircroft.

Coping with uncertainty is the main topic for the first of our dedicated roundtables (at 10.45am), where we give participants the chance to discuss sensitive matters in a private environment. Hear from Cheryl Barrett from relocation expert Cartus, alongside AltoVita COO and Co-Founder Karolina Saviova.

Logistical challenges around group moves will also be looked at on the main stage, with two dedicated sessions: "The A-Z of Planning a Group Move" and "From Road Warriors to Interns, How to Manage Different Personas" will dissect the intricate steps involved. Expect real-life case studies and personal experiences from our moderators and speakers.

Finally, our technology team will be on-site to guide guests through our platform, with a focus on specific features including AltoSearch and award-winning reporting dashboard AltoInsights, plus a sneak preview of Alto360, a new tool that offers enhanced strategic decision-making with improved data on ADRs, occupancy rates and market trends.

Introducing: The Rose Court

No AltoVita event is complete without a spectacular venue. We hear time and time again how delegates really enjoy the locations we pick. Speakers and attendees invest a lot of time in coming to our events, so we aim to provide the best backdrop to the day as possible. The Rose Court is a stylish venue overlooking the Thames, with lots of outdoor space for guests to network.

A New Format That Gives You Space to Breathe

This summit has a twist on our previous iterations. For the first time, there will be smaller “micro events” taking place in parallel. Feedback from past events suggested you needed more time to network. And recognising a show can never be one-size-fits-all, the summit features dedicated break-out rooms.

For example, the roundtables held during the Singapore summit in 2023 proved hugely popular, so we’re pleased to be factoring in more of these for London on July 9. The world awaits you as we've included three 30-minute roundtables: North & South America; the Middle East; and India, Asia & The Pacific. Roundtables are limited to 12 people each, so registration in advance is encouraged.

We've also purposely factored in more "white space" into the programme, with pauses in between the panels. And of course expect the networking to flourish during the breakfast, coffee breaks and evening reception.

Who’s Going?

More than 100 people have already registered to attend the AltoVita Smart, Safe, Sustainable Summit on July 9. Delegates will be rubbing shoulders with industry professionals from the likes of Getir, KPMG, NBCUniversal, RELX, Highland Europe, Electronic Arts, Hudson McKenzie, Becton Dickinson and Company, Takeda, American Express Global Business Travel, and many other leading international organisations.

Several leading relocation management companies are also attending, including Sterling Lexicon, Cartus, Sirva, WHR Global and Santa Fe, among others. Global immigration and visa specialists are also registered, ensuring exposure to the full spectrum of the wider mobility industry.
