AltoVita Releases "International Relocation in APAC" Report with Benivo by AltoVita

Written by AltoVita Team | May 23, 2021 11:00:00 PM

The pandemic had a significant impact on international relocation in APAC as the region was the first to face disruptions with immigration freezes, travel restrictions, and work from home mandates.

AltoVita partnered with Benivo to create the 2021 Benchmark Report on International Relocation in APAC to get the insights from one-on-one confidential interviews with HR and Mobility leaders at 13 companies running relocation programs in APAC. The report provides a benchmark on:

  • APAC relocation trends
  • How companies handle remote working/working from anywhere
  • How some programs are managed with technology support
  • The balance between in-house and outsourcing
  • Outline considerations to improve relocation programs today

What’s so impressive about this report is how it represents a diversified view of the entire APAC region. We gathered interviews from HR and mobility managers spread across seven countries: Korea, China, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, and Australia. Plus, they represent a myriad of industries and unique perspectives, including IT, FMCG, Automotive, Media & Finance, Semiconductors, Mining, Research, and Food & Agriculture. I was also surprised by some of the findings – for instance, that mobility experts estimate that up to 30% of workforces could end up working virtually on a permanent basis, which is a stark contrast to a company’s pre-pandemic proportion of expat population, typically 2-3%. As a larger population of employees will be working from anywhere, this could increase demand for flexible rentals. – Vivi Cahyadi Himmel, AltoVita CEO & Co-Founder

PLUS: Join AltoVita CEO and co-founder Vivi Cahyadi Himmel on Wednesday, May 26 as she joins the “Benivo Bites” live show on LinkedIn to discuss the report and share a product demo.
