From product launches and thought leadership, to flying visits to see partners and attend conferences and award ceremonies worldwide, it’s fair to say us "Altovitians" have never been so busy over the past 12 months.
"The year 2023 marks a series of strategic achievements for AltoVita," said Vivi Cahyadi Himmel, CEO & Co-Founder, AltoVita. "The platform's growth to 7 million units, the addition of world class clients such PwC, JLL, and Johnson & Johnson, and the successful expansion into India and new verticals (Business Travel and Housing Association) are some of the highlights that we are truly proud of here at AltoVita.
"The ongoing development of our product suite, constantly evolving and improving, combined with the exceptional talents who have joined AltoVita this year, will bring us steadily closer to realising our mission: smart, safe, and sustainable accommodation for employees anywhere in the world."
Here’s a look at some of the highlights of 2023.
We’ve enjoyed visiting clients and partners, plus networking and speaking at a range of innovative industry events over the year. Our travels have seen us head to the US, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Singapore, the Czech Republic, and of course our home base, London.
We've aimed to keep you updated through reports, whitepapers, webinars and more... we’ve doubled down on efforts to keep our customers, partners and wider industry abreast of the issues that affect them, as well as going behind the scenes of our own platform:
In the past 12 months we ramped up our webinars, bringing you interviews with our technical experts, as well as customers, to discuss key topics. We enjoyed making a guest appearance too...
Watch Samanthan Van Leeuwen from PwC and Diogo Matos from Solvay explore how a lack of collaboration between different departments means businesses miss out on significant cost savings in their extended stay programmes.
This comprehensive demo of one our newer product launches, AltoInsights, was hosted by AltoVita Mikhail Lortkipanidze (Senior Product Manager) and Urska Blagojevic (Marketing Director).
Over on LinkedIn, Olga Kondrasheva, Product Manager at AltoVita, joined Urska Blagojevic to discuss a few platform updates.
Jessica Dunderdale, Senior Director of Client Partnerships at AltoVita, took part in Absolute Immigration's latest webinar to share her insights into the corporate housing sector's role in creating a "Greener Mobile Workforce", as part of their Working World webinar series.
The whitepaper included independent insights from travel and meetings management consultancy Festive Road, and it was based on a survey of almost 100 travel and mobility managers globally, including input from experts at companies such as Barclays, UPS, BCD Travel and Baker McKenzie.
These quarterly reports help readers make sense of the fast-moving mobility and business travel landscape, with each one honing on a specific region or destination to give you deeper insights.
Undoubtedly the biggest news for us was a significant expansion of our inventory to 7 million units. Its development was a long time in the making, so we were happy to have been able to release the Curated Accommodation Platform on July 13. We heard how people simply want more choice, so that’s what we delivered. Read about it here. Elsewhere, the team unveiled other called-for initiatives, with an eye on sustainability and safety.
The latest entry in 2023, this free-to-use tool accurately estimates the CO2 emissions for each night's stay in any of the accommodations listed on AltoVita.
In June we unveiled this sophisticated analytics and reporting dashboard, which shines a light on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion data capture.
A new integration brings together the power of real-time travel alerts from International SOS with AltoVita's extensive accommodation network, because understanding and mitigating travel risks is crucial in today's global business environment.
Another integration, this time with RMS, a renowned cloud-based relocation management system used by the world’s leading companies, rings a host of benefits, including streamlined housing requests and enhanced user experiences.
We revolutionised the way we handle large booking requests in 2023, thanks to a new addition to our platform that enables users to manage bookings more efficiently.
Did you know AltoVita hosted four major events in 2023? They were made possible by the incredible support of industry experts, who spared the time to join panels, fireside and keynotes. We appreciate the time these luminaries have invested, and hope that our audiences found their insights useful for their own businesses. We certainly do. And we’re grateful for the support from our sponsors, and media partners.
On June 9 we scaled new heights — literally — as we hosted a sell-out event at London’s Sky Garden.
Fascinating speakers made this event one of our favourites, as we tackled the burning issues facing mobility and travel across the Asia Pacific region.
We particularly enjoyed celebrating many inspirational companies in Singapore too, as we toasted efforts in the Asia Pacific region for the first time.
Rounding off the year, we headed back to London on December 5 for a day of panel debates, and our famous awards ceremony, concentrating on the EMEA region.
The AltoVita trophy cabinet welcomed many more arrivals in 2023, with two themes dominating: technology and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). Overall we were thrilled to pick up seven awards, with a few highly commended mentions and many shortlisted entries along the way.
At the Forum for Expatriate Management's EMEA summit and awards ceremony, AltoVita was crowned winner of Most Innovative Use of Technology in Global Mobility.
At its Americas awards, judges declared us Corporate Housing Provider of the Year.
Staying in the US…. we gratefully received an esteemed Own It! Award.
Here we took home the prestigious Scale Up Team of the Year.
At this ceremony, AltoVita was given the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Impact Award. (We were also pleased to be in the running for the Achievement in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion accolade at the Business Travel Awards Europe, and especially in a shortlist that comprised much larger players like Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Enterprise Holdings.)
Earlier in the year we had a double win, with Best Short-Term Rental Platform and Best Service Provider.
"Wrapping up these reflections, all that’s left to say is thank you to all of our Global Mobility and Business Travel clients for making 2023 such a memorable year," said Karolina Saviova, COO and Co-Founder at AltoVita. "And of course our gratitude goes to all our amazing hospitality and technology partners, for their dedication, hard work and commitment to safety, innovation, and sustainability. I've really enjoyed travelling with the team to visit so many partners and clients as we further enhance the range of accommodation solutions we can offer, matching our clients ever-diverse requirements, no matter where in the world!"
